"What will I do when I’m not at class?”  Study, study, study.  Yes, you will need to work hard at UNO, but there is no reason you can’t play hard too. There are student organizations for every interest you may have (over 100).  You’ll find you won’t have to walk far to listen to some of the best jazz in the world.  The freshest seafood anywhere is just around the corner.  Movies outside in the quad.  Concerts outdoors.  The ‘Largest Crawfish Boil in the World.’  Nationally known speakers.  Fraternities and sororities.  Jogging on the lakefront.  Just a few ideas ... Just the beginning.

SWAMPBALL!!

Every October, UNO hosts its homegrown tradition of SwampBall.  Never heard of SwampBall?  No surprises there.  It’s a UNO thing - volleyball in a mud pit filled with water.  Same rules, just really dirty. This annual fundraiser brings campus groups and friends together to support scholarship funding.  Every year, whether the weather is starting to turn cool, or still hot, the game is in the pit ... And almost everyone ends up in it.  So bring a desire for some fun and some old clothes – are you ready???
